I’ve lived my life close to creation and critters. It’s hard for me to understand how it’s possible to walk through creation and not come to the conclusion there must be a creator. God’s Word tells us the creator will be made visible through creation. I spliced together Romans chapter one with Job chapter twelve to create these verses.
From the creation of the world
Though invisible He’s seen
In the creation He created
Every mountain and ravine
Every cow and every critter
On this earth ever born
Whether paws and fur and feathers
Or hooves and hide and horn
All of nature cries out to us
From the tree tops to the sod
As you walk here amongst us
Can’t you see there is a God
So now ask the beasts of the field
They’ll teach you what they know
And the birds there in the heavens
They’ll declare it is so
Or speak to the earth
From whose dust you were made
By the one who created
It’s foundation He has laid
And let the fish in the sea
Declare it to you
Listen quiet as they are speaking
They have a story tried and true
Who among creation doesn’t know
Ask them every one
The answer they will give you
By the Creator’s own hand it’s done
In whose hand there is the life
Of every living thing
Nothing was brought to being
That He didn’t bring
Ask and you’ll be told
Seek and you will find
All of life is in His hand
And the breath of all mankind
At least, that’s the view here from behind the grindstone.
